Tony Parker scored six of his 32 points in the second overtime, Tim Duncan had 26 and San Antonio beat host Toronto, its fourth straight victory over the Raptors. Manu Ginobili scored 15 points, Danny Green had 13 and Boris Diaw 11 as the Spurs won their third straight and improved their NBA-best road record to 7-1. Parker made jump shots on consecutive possessions with less than 1:15 to go in the second overtime as the Spurs held on.
Knicks 121, Pistons 100
Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points in just 32 minutes, and host New York ended a two-game losing streak with a victory over Detroit. Steve Novak added a season-high 18 and J.R. Smith had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks, who started 8-1 and had the Eastern Conference’s best record before a couple of defenseless performances in Texas spanning the Thanksgiving holiday. They were much better Sunday, improving to 5-0 at home.
Nets 98, Trail Blazers 85
Joe Johnson scored 21 points, Brook Lopez had 15 and host Brooklyn beat Portland. The Nets have won five straight games at Barclays Center. The 6-1 beginning on their new home court is the Nets’ best start since the 2002-03 season when they won 18 of their first 19 at home. Wesley Matthews scored 20 points and J.J. Hickson had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who were without LaMarcus Aldridge. The All-Star forward was out with a stiff back.
Celtics 116, Magic 110, OT
Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Paul Pierce added 23 points and Rajon Rondo was one rebound shy of a triple-double with 15 points and 16 assists as Boston outlasted host Orlando in overtime. The Celtics won their second straight and earned their sixth consecutive win over the Magic. They return home Wednesday for two home games, beginning with Brooklyn on Wednesday. J.J. Redick scored 21 and Jameer Nelson had 20 for the Magic, whose loss snapped a two-game win streak.
76ers 104, Suns 101
Jrue Holiday had a career-high 33 points and 13 assists, leading host Philadelphia over Phoenix. Evan Turner scored 16 points, Lavoy Allen had 11 and Thaddeus Young 10 for the Sixers, who snapped a two-game losing streak. The Sixers (8-6) haven’t dropped three in a row all season. Michael Beasley led the Suns with 21 points while Marcin Gortat added 18.
Nuggets 102, Hornets 84
Andre Iguodala scored 23 points, Kenneth Faried had his eighth double-double of the season and host Denver beat struggling New Orleans. Iguodala was coming off a 29-point effort against Golden State. Faried had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Denver, winners of four straight. Ty Lawson had 17 points and six assists for the Nuggets who are 4-1 at home. Reserve Brian Roberts led New Orleans with 17 points.
