Dallas coach Jason Garrett says Tony Romo hasn’t been ruled out for a winner-take-all finale against Philadelphia after injuring his back against Washington.
Garrett says Monday that Romo will get treatment and be evaluated daily. He adds the Cowboys were looking to add a third quarterback behind backup Kyle Orton.
Romo injured his back in Sunday’s 24-23 win over Washington, which set up the Cowboys’ third straight regular-season finale with the NFC East title on the line. The 33-year-old Romo lost the previous two against the New York Giants and Redskins, and another one in 2008 against the Eagles.
Romo had back surgery in April and missed all the offseason workouts.
Orton hasn’t started a game since 2011.
49ers beat Bills 34-24
Colin Kaepernick threw a TD pass and ran for another and Navorro Bowman returned an interception 89 yards for a touchdown to lift the host San Francisco 49ers over the Atlanta Falcons.
Kaepernick’s 4-yard run ignited a three-touchdown barrage by the 49ers (11-4) in the fourth quarter and gave the 49ers a 20-10 lead.
Falcons pulled with 20-17 on Matt Ryan’s 39-yard TD pass to Roddy White with 8:42 to play, but the 49ers answered with Frank Gore’s 1-yard TD run with 5:07 left.
The Falcons again rallied to within three points at 27-24 and got the ball back, but Bowman’s clutch play gave the 49ers a 10-point lead with 1:31 left.

The Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller’s season is over after tests revealed a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, a source told the Associated Press. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because coach John Fox had not yet addressed the media at his regular Monday news conference. Miller was injured in the first quarter of Denver’s 37-13 win on Sunday.
