The Akron softball team had another split at the Eagle Round Robin at Georgia Southern, falling to Tennessee Tech 3-1 and beating St. John’s 4-2.
Erin Seiler went 1-1 in the circle, while Kellie Roudabush led the Akron offense with a pair of hits and one RBI.

The Zips (2-2) travel Friday to Charleston, S.C., for the College of Charleston Cougar Classic. Akron plays James Madison in its first game.

The Akron women’s tennis team (3-5) recorded two road wins Saturday, beating Dayton 5-2 in the afternoon and Wright State 6-1 at night.
The Zips’ No. 1 doubles team of Prang Pantusart and Angelina Jogasuria improved its win streak to five matches with two wins. They also swept both of their singles contests, alternating at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots.
The Kent State women’s golf team shot 24-over 312 and sits in 12th place after the first round of the 54-hole Lady Puerto Rico Classic.
Jennifer Ha had a 75 and is in a tie for 22nd and Josee Doyon shot a 76 for a tie for 39th place.
