Local NFL draft prospects

Here are some other local and Ohio State players besides OSU linebacker Vernon Gholston and OSU tackle Kirk Barton to watch in the NFL Draft this weekend:

• Pierre Garcon, Mount Union receiver: Division III prospect's stock rising after strong NFL Scouting Combine.

• Jabari Arthur, University of Akron receiver: UA's record-setter projected as a mid-third-rounder by SportsIllustrated.com.

• Reggie Corner, UA cornerback: All-Mid-American Conference pick with 15 career interceptions (seven in '07); had a personal visit with the Browns.

• Davanzo Tate, UA cornerback: After running 4.26-4.35 in the 40 at Zips' pro day, he made FoxSports.com's All-Sleeper Defensive Team.

• Nate Robinson, UA defensive lineman: 6-41/2, 315-pounder ranked 25th best DT by Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN.

• Kris Kasparek, UA offensive tackle: Possible sixth-rounder ranked by Sporting News as draft's 23rd-best tackle.

• Jack Williams, Kent State cornerback: Kiper's 18th-rated corner (only Golden Flashes player invited to combine) has 4.3 speed.

• Colin Ferrell, KSU defensive lineman: 45.5 career tackles for losses, 35-inch vertical jump and 4.8-4.9 speed at 293 pounds.

• Antonio Reynolds, Tennessee defensive lineman: Buchtel High graduate finished his career strong and could return to linebacker.

• Larry Grant, Ohio State linebacker: Has a chance because he can rush, drop and play special teams.

• Antwaun Molden, Eastern Kentucky cornerback: Glenville product, a track standout, has size, speed, aggressiveness.

• Mario Manningham, Michigan receiver: Warren Harding graduate has loads of talent, but inconsistent career, 4.6 40; marijuana issues.

• Shawn Crable, Michigan linebacker: Teams don't know where to play the 'tweener from Massillon High, despite superior athleticism.
