MIAMI: An Ohio State football recruit is facing a drug charge in Florida.
According to Miami-Dade Police, running back Jaamal Berry of Miami was arrested on a charge with possession of more than 28 grams of marijuana.
Police stopped the 18-year-old early Thursday for running a stoplight. An incident report states officers found a bag containing marijuana in the back seat.
According to the report, Berry told police he had bought the drugs an hour earlier and planned to smoke them with friends.
Berry was released from jail Thursday on $5,000 bond. Jail records did not show any attorney information. His next court hearing is July 2.
Ohio State football spokeswoman Shelly Poe said today coaches were reviewing Berry's arrest and there had been no change in his status.

who cares ?? as long as he can score and beat michigan he can smoke whatever he wants.
seems like a pretty typical ohio state recruit.
@Todd - and every other Div. I recruit. Let's be fair here - every university/college is struggling with this problem.
C'Mon, Jimmie Tressel, C'Mon. .
Woodie woulda never done that. . .
If yer breaking one law, don't go breaking another because you will get caught.
Heads up. Incoming recruit, Cant State!
Louis Irizarry, Ira Guilford, Doug Worthington, Eugene Clifford, Antonio Henton, Alex Boone, Tim Schafer, Erik Haw, Jonathan Skeete, Albert Dukes, Lydell Ross, A.J. Traspasso, Branden Joe, Santonio Holmes, Troy Smith, and lets not forget Maurice Clarett how could we forget him. this is only a few of the 30 players that have been arrested since Tressel took over.
That's right OSU ... give scholarships to those druggie athletes. OSU is not about academic achievement, but about Sports! I'd never send a kid there!
Shouldn't he wait until he proves his worth in collage ball before he starts acting like an NFL player?
jeez.....college!!!
All the "punk" players smoke "MJ". Just like in the olde days they drank beer. So what you gonna do?????????
Wonder if "B.Q." smoked in in college & just did NOT get caught??? Bill Clinton did, BUT said he did NOT inhale.. Checks in the mail, I won't c*m in you mouth, I will respect you in the morning. Oh well.................
