Senators 5, RubberDucks 2
Wilson Ramos blasted a three-run homer to right, one of three home runs by the Senators, to snap Akron’s four-game winning streak Saturday at Metro Bank Park in Harrisburg, Pa.
Appearing on a minor-league rehab assignment from the Washington Nationals, Ramos went deep off Akron starter Cody Anderson to snap a 1-1 tie in the third inning. Rick Hague doubled and Jeff Kobernus walked before the Ramos shot. Eight Senators came to the plate in the inning, which was Anderson’s last.
Anderson (2-6) gave up four hits and three walks in three innings.
Second baseman Joe Wendle hit a two-out, solo homer in the first inning to give the Ducks a 1-0 lead off former Akron pitcher Paolo Espino.
Harrisburg’s Kevin Keyes tied it with a solo shot on the first pitch he saw from Anderson in the second. It was his 11th homer of the year.
