Indians' Michael Bourn out 4-6 week after hamstring repair

The Indians today announced this afternoon that center fielder Michael Bourn underwent minor surgery on his left hamstring today in Dallas, , a procedure performed by Dr. Dan Cooper.

 Bourn suffered the injury on a second base steal attempt in the ninth inning of the final game of the regular season in Cleveland’s American League Wild Card-clinching 5-1 win at Minnesota on Sept. 29th.

He started and finished the AL WildCard Game three days later against Tampa Bay on Oct. 2. Butr Tuesday Cooper performed a distal hamstring debridement where the tendon attaches behind Bourn’s left knee.

Bourn is slated to start rehabilitation this week at his home in Houston and will begin his normal off-season training program in four-to-six weeks.
