Notes: Job one for the Zips is to clean up their defensive problems. They’re 1-1 in their past two games and have given up an average of 47 percent shooting in those games. In the win against Middle Tennessee, they forced 21 turnovers to mitigate those woes. They didn’t come close last week against No. 16 Creighton. Secondly, they have to contain Ray McCallum, Detroit’s talented point guard, who leads the team in scoring. He’s similar to Zips point guard Alex Abreu. Lastly, they need to feed Zeke Marshall inside and let him do what he does offensively. He’ll take care of the rest defensively
