Notebook: The Zips started strong in conference play, earning home victories against Western Michigan and Ball State around a win at Northern Illinois. … The Zips have won eight in a row, outscoring opponents by 18.9 points per game and outrebounding them by 11.6. UA hasn’t won nine in a row since 2007. … Senior center Zeke Marshall leads three Zips in double-figure scoring at 12.3 points per game.
