Kent State’s Dior Delophont finished 13th in a field of 24 to claim second-team All-America status in the women’s high jump Saturday at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
Delophont, a freshman, jumped 5 feet, 10¾ inches. The winning jump was by Arizona’s Brigetta Barrett, who cleared the bar at 6-4¾.
Also competing for KSU was Danniel Thomas, who finished 19th in the women’s shot put with a toss of 50-5¼. Tia Brooks of Oklahoma won the event with a throw of 60-0½.
