Two runs in the top of the tenth inning helped the Kent State Golden Flashes (6-11) to a 4-2 victory over the Memphis Tigers (11-8). It was the Flashes’ second consecutive series and the second time they won back-to-back games.
Kent State loaded the bases in the tenth when sophomore Tommy Monnot was hit by a pitch driving in a run. Cody Koch followed with an RBI single to right field extending the lead to two.
Sophomore Alex Miklos had three singles and scored two runs in the leadoff spot of the Flashes lineup. Evan Campbell and Koch each had multihit days as Campbell had a single, a double and scored.
Casey Wilson pitched 7⅓ strong innings, surrendering just two runs on five hits. Freshman Nick Jensen-Clagg pitched two scoreless innings of relief to earn his first win of the season.

The University of Akron Zips (2-16) dropped both games of a double header, losing 3-2 to Michigan (9-9) and 7-3 to Coastal Carolina (10-10).
Matt Rembielak and Devan Ahart each had four-hit days as they each had two singles against both Michigan and Coastal.
Diving
Junior Carla McNamara finished in tenth place at the NCAA Zone C Championships that concluded on Saturday. She had a final score of 580.15 from six total dives in the three-meter category.
