Three additional Kent State games have been added to the Time Warner Cable Sportschannel (1311 HD) schedule this season. Home games against Northern Illinois (Oct. 5) and Buffalo (Oct. 26) as well as a road game against Akron (Nov. 2) will be televised.
The Golden Flashes will now have eight games nationally or regionally televised and that is expected to increase with a future announcement on their Sept. 21 game at Penn State.
The Mid-American Conference preseason coaches poll was announced Wednesday, and Kent State University was picked to finish sixth in the East Division.
Last year was coach Don Gromala’s first season with the Golden Flashes and they finished 6-22. The Flashes return 10 letter winners, including five starters.

The Golden Flashes, however, are the favorites to win the MAC Tournament. KSU tied with Central Michigan with two votes each.
Last season the Golden Flashes won a share of the regular-season title with Miami, but lost in the final game of the MAC Tournament.
