Akron Pops Orchestra — Seeking musicians, especially strings and keyboards, for the volunteer orchestra, which performs a variety of concert music. Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra — Auditions for the 2012-13 season will be held in May at Severance Hall, 11001 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. Late-afternoon, evening and weekend audition times will be available. Middle- and high-school instrumentalists who are studying privately and involved in a school music program are invited to audition. Auditions will be heard for instruments including violin, viola, cello, double bass, harp, flute, piccolo, oboe, English horn, clarinet, bass clarinet, bassoon, contrabassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, bass trombone, tuba, percussion and keyboard instruments (alternate position). Audition applications must be received by April 6. Application fee is $25.
