The HeldenFiles - Wife Swap

Wife Swap, Barberton Style. ABC's Wife Swap series will include the Barberton family of Mishelle and Terry Orris on the telecast at 8 tonight.

Mishelle traded places with Michelle Flynn of Wright City, Mo., which put Mishelle in charge of husband Patrick Flynn and two children. Michelle Flynn, meanwhile, had to fit in with Mishelle's two children and Terry, their stepfather.

More Orris. Barberton's Mishelle is part of a no-nonsense, heavy-on-the-rules crew. She explains that ''our family is built a lot on love. Clean up after yourself, we'll love you more.''

The telecast also offers echoes of Joan Crawford in Mommie Dearest when Mishelle declares, ''I told the kids, absolutely no wire hangers.''

Since the show offers contrasting home styles, the Flynn household is considerably more relaxed about rules, chores and tidiness — including the idea of having trash end up in a receptacle.

Still More Orris. The show gets to a happy place, with at least one apology, the Orris family more relaxed and the Flynns more organized. But not before plenty of bleeping, name calling and other conflicts.

''I feel sorry for your husband,'' Patrick Flynn says to Mishelle during one argument.

''Why, 'cause he's clean?'' she fires back.

''I'm not clean?''

''No, you're not.''

''You fat piece of trash!''

There's more of that tonight. An ABC rep said the Orris family did not want to be interviewed about the show.

Keys Attack. The Pitchfork Web site (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com) says Akron's own Black Keys will present Attack & Release, a new CD produced by Danger Mouse, on April 1.

The CD from Nonesuch is the fifth album by the duo of Patrick Carney and Dan Auerbach and, according to Pitchfork, ''their first recorded in a proper studio.'' Hey, they've sounded fine so far.

More Black Keys. Musicians on the recording will include Patrick's uncle, Ralph Carney (Tin Huey, Oranj Symphonette) and guitarist Marc Ribot — both veterans of the Tom Waits band — as well as singer Jessica Lea Mayfield.

''While in theory, the thought of a Danger Mouse-produced Black Keys record brings to mind a bunch of electronic beats and sound pastiches slapped on stripped-down garage rawk . . . (Danger Mouse) manages mostly to stay out of the way of the jams,'' says Pitchfork.

Local CSI Actress. After a December postponement, an episode of CSI: NY with Akron's Leah Rachel is scheduled to air at 10 tonight on CBS. Rachel plays murder victim Phoebe Wright and is mostly seen at the end of the show, when the murder is re-enacted.

CSI: NY, you will recall, stars Akron's own Melina Kanakaredes.

Kidman Exits. Having finally confirmed her pregnancy, Nicole Kidman has dropped out of the movie The Reader, People.com reports.

The movie is being directed by Stephen Daldry, who also made The Hours, for which Kidman won a best-actress Oscar. She was expected to begin shooting this month.

And to think that, a scant two weeks ago, a rep for Kidman denied that the actress and husband Keith Urban were expecting!

As for the movie, People.com says Kidman's role will now go to Kate Winslet. ''Winslet was originally offered the role but couldn't commit due to schedule conflicts,'' the site says. But the conflict went away.

Trivia Time. The son of David Letterman is Harry Joseph Letterman. (Harry was fine for the trivia answer.) Among those e-mailing correct answers is randomly chosen prize winner Karen Jones of Barberton. A prize from the Archive of Leftover DVDs and Ridiculous Promotional Items will go out shortly.
