1 EDI Source, Inc., a leading provider of electronic data interchange (EDI) software and outsourcing solutions, today announces that it has released a new version of its robust EDI software EDI/HQ™. EDI/HQ 3.2.3 includes advanced data filtering functionality, new encryption capabilities and dashboard improvements.
EDI/HQ software empowers businesses to control every aspect of their EDI operations. Designed as three tools in one, EDI/HQ features EDI translation capabilities, data mapping and integration, and in-depth data management capabilities. All three areas have been improved with this release including more data filtering options and enhancements to the software’s customizable dashboard. But most importantly, this version of the company’s EDI software introduces two new modules – the Payment Card Industry/Protected Health Information (PCI/PHI) Support Module and the EDI Router Module.
The PCI/PHI Support Module encrypts “data at rest” within the EDI/HQ database. While the company’s EDI software has always had the ability to encrypt “data in motion,” this new release offers a higher level of protection by encrypting data not in transit. This module also helps clients restrict access to sensitive credit card and health information based on user roles and job functions. In addition, this version of the EDI application automatically creates a log of users who access protected information in the database. The PCI/PHI Support Module was designed to support payment card regulations and the “minimum necessary standard” of the privacy rules established by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.
The EDI Router Module allows users to segment inbound EDI data by sender, receiver or transaction type. This enhancement enables clients to use the software as a router to separate interchanges from different partners into multiple files.
This latest release of the company’s EDI software offers advanced filtering options to help clients create more accurate, customized reports. For example, EDI/HQ 3.2.3 allows users to search application data. Clients also can view widgets and quickly pull reports on the most recent job session – all from the software’s dashboard.
“This new release not only demonstrates our proactive approach to product improvement, but also our commitment to listening to clients and improving our EDI software based on their needs,” said Vince Sarowatz, director of product development, 1 EDI Source. “We will continue to build EDI software that functions as a ‘manage by exception’ system – one that operates optimally with little to no human intervention required.”
