A new Kickstarter project, Ask the Bluesman, features local bluesman Sonny Robertson and Akron-born musician Foy Keith, who will start a YouTube Q&A program about music, life, and everything people want to ask about.
Long-time Akron favorite Sonny Robertson has worked with some of the blues legends, including Ike and Tina Turner, Albert King, Jimi Hendrix, Albert Collins, and many more. He's a great storyteller with great stories to tell. See www.sonnyrobertson.com. Coming soon is a music CD, "First Night in Akron".
"Ask the Bluesman" is a project of lasting significance, not just immediate entertainment. Sonny is aware that the story of the blues is not being passed on to young black musicians today. This means history is not being passed down. "Ask the Bluesman" will be an invaluable contribution to the history of the blues, and of this part of America.
Every week he will talk with a young musician named Foy Keith. Their warm rapport guarantees a program that will be fun as well as instructive.
Go to Kickstarter.com and search Ask the Bluesman.
