A strong workforce is built from the skills and talents of many individuals, including individuals with disabilities. Throughout the month of October, the County of Summit Developmental Disabilities Board (Summit DD) will proudly celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
More than 100 businesses and organizations in Summit County employ people with disabilities. Through carefully coordinated community employment programs, Summit DD and private providers arrange for expert staff to assist with initial on-the-job training and follow up to ensure the success of each individual.
