The Canton Advertising Federation recognized Sue Grabowski, president of Grabowski & Co., as the newest silver medalist and Ad Person of the Year at an award ceremony at Glenmoor Country Club on Thursday, May 23.
While it was expected the event speakers would toast the newly named ad person’s long list of accomplishments to the industry and community, it was unexpectedly moving as Grabowski’s colleagues, friends and family spoke of her integrity, passion, sense of adventure and the value she places on people and relationships.
Lorie M. Travaglino, president of Mobile Meals, Inc., explained how the newest silver medalist succeeds, “She lives strategy, keeping balance and keeping things simple.”
Grabowski echoed the gratitude back to her guests when she said the evening was a reflection of all the people in her life.
Grabowski founded her marketing communications firm, Grabowski & Co., in 1997, building on experience gained as a journalist for a local newspaper and national trade magazines, and then as an ad agency account executive and a senior communications specialist at Progressive Insurance. Today, the company employs 19 strategists, writers, artists, web developers and project managers.
