9 NW Canal Fulton football players, asst. varsity, coach Dave Maculaitis, and parents raise over $700 to purchase Christmas toys for Children in Akron Children's Hospital. They will deliver them on Friday at the close of the school day to kick off their Christmas Vacation. Coach Mac was inspired to do this kind gesture when he went to visit his best friend's son who had recently undergone brain surgery. He wanted to do something for these children that are hospitalized for the holiday season and his 1st thought was to call on members of his football team and their parents who did not hesitate for a second to agree it was indeed a wonderful gesture especially in the wake of what has happened CT. It is a wonderful thing to see our youth chip in to do such a wonderful and caring deed.
