Nashville, TN (Oct 31, 2012) Nashville recording artist, and star of RFDTV’s “Midwest Country” TV show, David Church will be hosting “Country Music’s Salute to Veterans” a concert and fundraiser, on November 17th and 18th in Grove City, Ohio at the Grand Oaks Event Center. Proceeds of the event will benefit Ohio wounded veteran, Kyle Hockenberry. The event will be filmed for a tv show titled, “Straight Up Country” to be broadcast later in 2013. Hockenberry was injured in an improvised explosive device attack near Haji Ramuddin. He was treated by flight medics while being transported by medevac helicopter to hospital at Kandahar Air Field in Afghanistan on June 15, 2011.

They are powerful words carried close to the heart of Kyle who sacrificed so much for his family, for his friends, for his local community, his state, and all of us fortunate enough to claim the United States as our home. We are fortunate to have young men like Kyle risking life and limb for our freedom.
David Church, along with his wife, Terri Lisa Church, has been featured on the RFD-TV network for 9 years and has gained national and international attention. Over the past several years, Church has become known as RFD-TV’s “most requested and most popular artist”, performing traditional country music. He is recognized as a celebrity by many of his peers and many organizations and businesses. David and Terri Lisa have fans in every state and all over the world. He stated, “We have always been strong supporters of our American Veterans. When we found out about Kyle earlier this year, we made the trip to Marietta, Oh, where we were honored to be a part of a benefit with the Tunnel to Towers Organization, to raise money for a Smart Home for Kyle. We as Americans owe a great deal of gratitude for our veterans and the sacrifices they have made. Many making the ultimate sacrifice for our protection and freedom. If we are able to create more awareness and help our heroes through our talents and our music, I think it is a small way of giving back and saying ‘Thank You for your service.’” Earlier this year, David and Terri Lisa hosted an event just prior to the CMT Awards in Nashville at the prominent “Hard Rock Café” where they featured over 20 artists including country superstar, Phil Vasser, and a fashion show with the legendary designer, “Manuel”. Church was also honored by Martin Guitars at when they presented him with a new series “Retro” guitar and an endorsement with Martin. He also had recorded a song theme song for “Smackdown” with World Wresting Entertainment. David and Terri Lisa Church have performed all over the world.
The concert will feature classic country from Hank Williams to Tammy Wynette, as well as original songs with several recording artists from all over the US, including: Terry Lee Goffee, known for his incredible tribute to Johnny Cash; Richard Lynch, Karla Perretta, all who are native to Ohio. In addition, the Sunday show will feature Adam Pope, a prominent songwriter from Nashville that has a unique Rockabilly sound. Lizzie Sider, a 15 year old singer songwriter from Florida, and Chloe Channell, 10 year old with a voice like Martina McBride, who also hails from Florida.
