Tonight from 5pm-7pm, staff from the City of Green Fire Department, Akron General Green Emergency Department, and Summa Green Emergency Department, along with their families will volunteer at the Akron/Canton Regional Food Bank. Nurses, doctors, medical technicians, paramedics, and firefighters will pack boxes in the warehouse for our community. They want to show their community they despite the existing competition between medical systems, each of these healthcare workers has the same mission, to serve others and promote the health of the community. By including their older children, they also want to teach them the importance of giving this holiday season.
