Starting Tuesday, July 10, Marcum's Martial Arts Academy (834 N. Mantua St., Kent) will offer beginning karate classes for children ages 6-12 on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10-11 AM. The classes, which run through Aug. 16, will teach the basics of Isshinryu Karate and self-defense while encouraging children to stay active and learn new skills during summer vacation. Cost for the 12 classes is $88.00.
