Demonstrations and presentations are as follows:

Tree Preservation Cabling & Bracing 9:00-11:30 presented by the Arboriculture class

Arborist Climbing & Rigging demonstration 11:30-1:30 presented by Kurt Magnello & Prof. Chris Carlson

Tree Planting & Dedication at noon & 5:00 with Prof. Chris Carlson & the Horticulture Club

Hazardous Tree Detection demo using resistographs and increment borers presented by Jonathan Malish & Prof. Chris Carlson 1:30-2:30

Soil Compaction Relief demo using a high tech air spade 2:30-3:00 present by Kurt Magnello & Horticulture Club

Lola Lewis from the ODNR from will be on hand to answer questions on Urban Forestry Assistance for Communities

FREE Ohio Department of Agriculture Flyers, Fact Sheets and Handouts on Threatening Landscape Pests

Twig Table - Smell all the unique and unusual scents of our local trees

Proper and Improper Planting and Mulching Techniques lecture at 7:00pm in the Kent State lecture hall. Immediately following will be the award winning, animated short film "The Man Who Planted Trees." This excellent film is rated the fourth greatest short film of all time and is appropriate for people of all ages so bring the kids. At 8:30 Professor Carlson will be hosting an question and answer session.

This lecture and film will be presented by Assistant Prof. of Horticulture Technology Chris Carlson
