Spotlight Players will present the Ohio community theater premier of the hit musical Les Miserables. The beloved musical, recently adapted into the film of the same name, plays June 14, 15, 16, 28, 29 & 30; all at 7:30PM. The show will be performed at the Salem Masonic Temple located at 788 E. State St. Salem, OH. 44460.
This international smash-hit may be the most popular musical in the world. In 19th century France, Jean Valjean is released from 19 years of unjust imprisonment, but finds nothing in store for him but mistrust and mistreatment. He breaks his parole in hopes of starting a new life, initiating a life-long struggle for redemption as he is relentlessly pursued by police inspector Javert, who refuses to believe Valjean can change his ways. This main plot is set up against the backdrop of revolution led by a group of students. Love and friendships are tested as the battle unfolds, and the lives of everyone involved will forever be changed.
