The curtain goes up on the 66th annual show of the Akron Derbytown Chorus, “That’s My Baby” on April 5th & 6th @ 7:30 PM at the Cuyahoga Falls High School Auditorium. This year, the Chorus, assisted by many of its fine chapter quartets, brings harmony and gentle humor to the maternity ward during one of life’s most joyous occasions.
We round out our show with a pair of championship quartets: “Max Q” - the 2007 International Gold Medalist, and “Main Street” - the 5th place Bronze Medalist in the 2012 competition. We would also like to introduce an excellent quartet from Kent Theodore Roosevelt High School – “Tetrad”.
In a day where one can’t be sure of the content of even the best of performances, you can be assured that Derbytown will present only quality family entertainment to its audiences, which may be enjoyed by children as well as senior citizens.
Tickets are available online from: http://www.derbytownchorus.org , by phone: 330-690-6158, or at the door. Following the Saturday night show, will be an “Afterglow” in the CFHS cafeteria, (tickets available at the door), with a catered brunch, and more entertainment by the Chorus and the Quartets.
The Akron Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society is a premier all men’s acappella singing group that sings a wide variety of music arranged in the barbershop style.
