Would you like to get a jump start on your holiday shopping while enjoying local history?
The Mustill Store will host its annual holiday open house on Sat., Dec. 15 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. At the event, held in the historic Cascade Locks Park, the public is invited to stop by and enjoy the canal-era store and complimentary holiday treats, as well as to meet several local authors who will have their books available for purchase and signing.
Guest authors will include Mary McClure, High Bridge Glens of Cuyahoga Falls; Lisa Abraham, Famous Chefs and Fabulous Recipes; Boone Triplett, The Bizarro Book of U.S. Presidents and a revised edition of Canals of Ohio: A History and Tour Guide; and Jeri Holland, Murder and Mayhem in Akron and Summit County, Haunted Akron, and Memories of an Akron Christmas. Carroll M. Gantz will not be present, but copies of his book, Building St. Helena II, will be available.
