McDonald's hosts community-wide scavenger hunt

UPublish story by Laura Hegedus

Beginning Sunday, July 7 through August 4, the soon to be built McDonald’s restaurant which will be located at 4346 Kent Road in Stow, in conjunction with the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce and local business partners will be sponsoring a community-wide scavenger hunt in celebration of McDonald’s grand opening.

This summertime family-friendly event, hosted in conjunction with the Stow-Munroe Falls Chamber of Commerce and local business partners, offers residents wholesome family fun and the chance to win exciting prizes -- including the grand prize trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando.

Each Sunday, beginning on July 7 - 28, clues will be printed in the Stow Sentry newspaper, and posted on the paper’s website at www.stowsentry.com. Clues will lead participants to the featured local businesses where contestants will receive a store-branded token, answer a trivia question, or snap a photo. Follow Stow Sentry’s Twitter Feed @stowsentry for current updates.

From 6 – 8 p.m. on Monday, August 5 at McDonald’s, scavenger hunt participants can verify the items they collected and register for prize drawings. To qualify for the grand prize, participants must collect the correct item from each of the featured businesses. Those unable to collect all items will be eligible for other raffle prizes.

Winning entries will be drawn during the McDonald’s grand opening celebration from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. Winners are not required to be present. In addition to the prize drawings, other grand opening festivities will include a giant spin-to-win prize wheel, special menu pricing, and a visit from the World’s most famous clown, Ronald McDonald.
