Medina Republicans to Host Free Ice Cream Social

UPublish story by Nanci Shanley

Medina County Republican Party volunteers will be scooping ice cream and grilling hot dogs at the Annual Ice Cream Social and Hot Dog Cookout on Medina's Historic Square on September 22, 2013 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.. All are invited to attend.

“We'll offer free ice cream, hot dogs, snacks and beverages, live music. Bounce house and face painting for kids will be available - it will be a fun event for the whole family,” commented Norma Jesse, one of the event's planners.

The social is sponsored by the Medina County Republican Party. “Our goal is to give Republicans in our community an opportunity to get out, meet one another and start a conversation.” stated Nancy Abbott, Chair of the Medina County Republican Executive Committee.

“We have volunteers and members from all walks of life and all age ranges,” added Gary Werner, Brunswick Mayor and Medina County Republican Party Central Committee Chair. “We want folks to know they can come and talk to us, share their ideas and concerns, hopefully get involved. There is room in our party for any Republican who wants to give his or her time and energy to move the party forward.”

Local and state elected officials are expected to attend, along with local republican leadership in an informal “meet and greet” format.

For more information about the event, please contact Norma Jesse at 330/241-1061.
