"Lawyers in the Library" is part of the Akron Mini Maker Faire held at the Akron Main Library on Saturday, November 2 from 1 to 4 p.m.
The program will give inventors or “Makers” an opportunity to meet with a registered patent attorney for 20 minutes, free of charge. During the session they can ask questions like
“Do I need a patent to protect my invention?”
“How much does a patent cost?”
“What is a provisional patent and should I get one?”
“What about trademarks and copyrights, do I need them?”
The lawyers will answer any intellectual property-related question during the one-on-one private session. Three local firms will be present: Brouse McDowell, Frisina LLC and Emerson Thompson Bennett.
To register for a session, contact the Science and Technology Division at 330-643-9075 or email@example.com.
