Neighborhood Federation Honors Community Champions

The Joy Park Neighborhood Federation hosted the Breakfast of Champions, Men's Breakfast at Joy Park Community Center in Akron, Ohio. The breakfast honored men who have dedicated themselves to uplifting the local community. The honorees were Richard Decatur, Lieutenant with APD; Clarence Kaiser, Retired from Children's Services Board; Dru Joyce II, Coach St. Vincent - St. Mary (Boys Basketball); Donald Lomax, WIAK Case Manager; and John Hafford, Patterson Park Community Center Supervisor.

The guest speaker was Samuel Hampton II, the pastor of First Apostolic Faith Church, in Akron, Ohio. The event also supports the federation's scholarship fund provided to deserving high school seniors.
