ORMACO Heats Up January with a Hot Fundraiser to Benefit Children's Arts Outreach Programs

MEDINA, Ohio (December 17, 2013) – After all the fun of the holiday season, are you looking for an enjoyable, affordable night out that supports a worthwhile local organization helping to make music, arts and cultural programs available to kids? Then check out the Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach, or ORMACO’s A Hot Time on a January Night, Monday, January 20, 2014 from 7p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Riverstone Tavern in Valley City. This evening is sure to please all that attend with a fun-filled event with delicious food, live music, networking opportunities and a silent auction to benefit ORMACO’s music, arts and cultural outreach programs.

The menu includes an array of delectable delights, such as: Cajun bacon wrapped Andouille sausage lollipops of with a maple-soy glaze, coconut shrimp, homemade sauerkraut balls with corned beef, potato and cheddar pierogies, chicken and waffles (a miniature waffle topped with a fried boneless wing drizzled with maple syrup), various flatbreads, homemade manicotti filled with ricotta and Asiago cheeses, grilled sirloin with a bourbon glaze, Caesar salad, and a variety of montaditos, bite-sized sandwiches from Spain on miniature French-style baguettes. Two glasses of wine are also included.

Guests will be in for a treat with music provided by Canton-based guitarist, singer and songwriter, Pat Masalko. With his incredible diversity, Pat has performed at countless venues and festivals including the Canton Civic Center, Rocking on the River in Cuyahoga Falls, Lock 3 in Akron and First Night in Akron. In 2012, he was named “Entertainer of the Year” by the city of Dublin, Ohio. A music teacher by day, Pat can be seen in many Northeast Ohio clubs and pubs during the week.

The event will also feature a silent auction. Some of the items include wine baskets, meals at area restaurants, hand-painted wine glasses, tickets to area cultural events and more.

Founded three years ago, ORMACO’s mission is to make music, arts and cultural programs accessible to all, with a focus on minority, disadvantaged and rural populations. Programs include art classes and a variety of music programs and workshops, including free violin and guitar lessons in Medina, Stark, Lorain, Ashland and Wayne Counties.
