The Better Business Bureau of Akron, Inc., in partnership with the Akron-Summit County Public Library, and FINRA Investor Education Program will present ‘Tricks of the Trade – Outsmarting Investment Fraud.’ The program is designed to help investors make smarter investing decisions while avoiding fraud, risky investments and unlicensed brokers.
The free series will be held at eight Akron-Summit County Public Library branch locations through Wednesday, November 6, 2013.
Attendees will find out whom the fraudsters are targeting and the five most common tactics they use.Topics discussed will include what the face of investment fraud looks like, typical risk factors, the most common persuasion
tactics used, and how to protect yourself from scams.
