Pianists to Present ‘Four-Hands Concert’ at The College of Wooster

Pianists Laura Silverman and Yao Lu will present a concert at The College of Wooster on Sunday, Sept. 15.

WOOSTER, Ohio — Pianists Laura Silverman and Yao Lu, fresh off a successful tour of three universities in China, will present a concert on Sunday, Sept. 15, at The College of Wooster. The performance, which is free and open to the public, begins at 2:30 p.m. in Gault Recital Hall of Scheide Music Center (525 E. University St.).

Silverman, a piano instructor at The College of Wooster, and Lu, a graduate assistant at the University of Akron and a student of Silverman who also teaches at Akron, will share such works as Mozart’s Sonata in C Major (K. 521) and Mendelssohn’s Andante and Variations. Also on the program are Bizet’s “Jeux d'Enfants,” Brahms’ “Hungarian Dances,” Scott Joplin’s “Maple Leaf Rag,” and Joseph Lamb’s “Champagne Rag.”
