The Lady Tigers of Cuyahoga Falls High School hosted the Brush High School Lady Arcs in the Second Annual Lay Up for Leukemia fundraiser.
The Layup For Leukemia benefits the Akron Children's Hospital and the Falls Cancer Club. The fundraiser created by Logen Breehl and Samantha Troxell raised over $1500 last year and this year over $3000 according to program director, Debra Mireau. The first year proceeds supported the Falls Cancer Center and the National Children's Leukemia Foundation.
Mireau hopes to double their efforts next year and eventually establish national recognition for event. For sponsorship or general information, email layup4leukemia@yahoo.com.
