On November 16th, 2013, First Baptist Church of Alliance, Ohio will be hosting a concert by The Wittmen Crew,Wittenberg University's premier A Capella singing group, at 7:30 pm in the church sanctuary.
Founded as the first A Capella group on campus in 1999, the group is currently 18 men strong. The Crew performs throughout the school year at various events on and off campus for diverse audiences. Musical selections cover a variety of styles, ranging the gamut from classic rock, doo-wop, current popular music, classical arrangements, sacred and holiday favorites.
During their local engagement, the Wittmen will be performing some of their standards: "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen, "Paradise" by Coldplay, and their own reworking of "Me n' the Boys" by The Nylons, as well as many others. They will also be performing selections from their newly recorded Holiday album, "A Collegiate Christmas", and their 2012 album, "Clean-Up on Aisle 3". Copies of these cds may be ordered following the performance.
The Wittmen Crew arranges and composes much of their own music, including arrangements by musical director and 2010 Alliance High School graduate, Benjamin Holbrook (Wittenberg
2014). It will also feature solos by 2010 Dover High School graduate Evan Cameron (Wittenberg 2014), and 2013 Hudson High School graduate, Austin Riggle (Wittenberg 2017).

A recommended donation of $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family is payable at the door. However, no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
