Women’s Network of Northeast Ohio invites women professionals to its 2014 Authentic Leadership Workshop “Know Thyself, Support Thyself” on Thurs., June 19, 7:30 to 10 a.m., at Fairlawn Country Club, 200 N. Wheaton Road.
This workshop, presented by Laurie Zuckerman, explores the importance of supporting yourself, and the specific practices for doing so. Self-support is both a necessary and “hidden” practice of effective leaders. Everyone needs it to work at their best, yet few people are willing to talk about it in public.
Attendees will learn about the concept of “triggers” – how they provoke you to behave in ways that are unproductive, and how to use self-support practices to move back to “normal.”
FirsMerit Bank is sponsoring the leadership series. Registration is required, and can be made at www.womensnetworkneohio.com/WNCalendar. The workshop is $50 for Women’s Network individual members, $45 for Women’s Network business/corporate members, and $75 for non-members. It includes workshop materials and a continental breakfast. For more information, call (330) 256-1122.
