(Cleveland, Ohio) April 23, 2013 – The law firm of Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP (Calfee) welcomes Akron resident Malisheia Douglas as an associate with the firm.
Malisheia focuses her practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the polymer chemical field as well as patent litigation, including preparing and filing complaints, motion practice, electronic discovery, strategic litigation planning, pre-filing investigation, and negotiation and preparation of settlement agreements.
She is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Malisheia earned her J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law in 2008, where she was Articles Editor for the Akron Law Review and Executive Editor for the Akron Intellectual Property Law Journal. She earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1996, and before attaining her law degree, Malisheia worked as a polymer process research engineer at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and as a finishing process engineer at Buckeye Cellulose Corporation.
She is a member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
