Peachtree Playthings Prepares for Expansion with BCG Systems and Business Process Review

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 27, 2012 – BCG Systems, Inc., a provider of complete technology solutions headquartered in Akron, Ohio, today announced the completion of an in-depth business process review (BPR) for Peachtree Playthings, a fast growing multi-category company specializing in an array of affordable branded and licensed products ranging from stationery and art materials, to activity items and toys. The company, headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, started more than 20 years ago and has grown into an international operation with entities in the United States and Hong Kong.

As a privately held company, audited financial statements were never a requirement. However, as the company looked to grow and seek investment opportunities, they knew that pulling together consolidated financial data from their U.S. and Asian entities would prove challenging. With two main objectives in mind, the company sought a way to have all locations on one system that would provide the consolidated financial and sales data, as well as analytics, that they require, delivered in a very timely and accurate manner.

While the business process review conducted by BCG Systems brought with it an initial up-front investment, Peachtree Playthings viewed this as a small price to pay for ensuring the proper solution was selected. “We saw the value of this necessary step in the process and trusted that we were getting the best consulting advice for future success,” commented Creagh.
