Akron, OH – November 8, 2012: Westminster Presbyterian Church, Spring Garden Waldorf School, Faith Lutheran Church, The Shaw JCC and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church have partnered to present a speaker series starting this fall called Nurturing the Next Generation. The first session in the series — The Importance of Play in the Development of Children – will be presented by Dr. Joshua Magleby, Sunday, Nov. 18th at the Westminster Presbyterian Church at 250 W. Exchange St. in Akron.
Childcare will be provided for all the events in the series and all lectures begin at 6 pm.
Other sessions are as followed:
Sunday, January 20th – Anger Management in Children and Adolescents, Dr. Joshua Magleby, Nueropsychologist
Sunday, February 17th -- Respect.Teen Dating Violence Prevention, Chelsea Cunningham, Akron Children’s Hospital
Sunday, April 21st – The Invisible Woman: Exploring the History, Literature and Experience of Disability and Motherhood, Kelley Shinn, University of Akron.
