Four Seniors Receive Scholarships from American Elite Booster Club for Academic Achievements Four Seniors Accepted to Competitive College Cheer Programs

TALLMAGE, Ohio, May 30, 2013 – American Elite All Stars of Tallmadge, Ohio is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for the 2012-2013 academic year. Kaylee Budd of Lake High School, Casey Hilditch of Elyria High School and Brandon Posk of Twinsburg High School all received an American Elite Booster Club Scholarship each totaling $500. The Booster Club Scholarships were awarded based on overall personal and academic achievement. Overall, American Elite has awarded $13,500 in scholarships over the past five years. Kaylee will be attending The University of Cincinnati to study Business and Commercial Real Estate and also will be a Bearcat cheerleader. Casey will be studying Nursing, Communications Sciences and Disorders at Ohio University. Brandon has not yet chosen his major but will be attending Xavier University.

Madison Nye of Hudson High School received the Kelli Halterman Scholarship totaling $1,000. This scholarship was created to honor Kelli Halterman, a Perry High School senior and American Elite athlete who passed away in November 2008. The winner of this scholarship must not only have good academic and cheer skills but must also be an individual that stands out and is admired and nominated by their peers. In the fall, Madison will be attending The Ohio State University to study Pharmacy. Madison was also chosen to join the Ohio State Buckeye cheerleading team.

“American Elite is proud to have to so many deserving student athletes receive these wonderful scholarships and move on to cheer programs at wonderful colleges,” said Wanda Whipkey, an American Elite Owner. “We feel strongly about our commitment to providing scholarships for our graduating seniors and can’t wait to watch them flourish this coming Fall.”

In addition to American Elite athletes earning college scholarships, two have also been accepted to competitive college cheer programs including Emily Perry of North Ridgeville High who will attend Bowling Green State University and Kelsey Roney of Avon High School who will attend The University of Louisville.

American Elite was founded in 2005. In addition to all star competitive cheerleading, American Elite also offers competitive gymnastics, non-competitive gymnastics, tumbling, summer camps and birthday parties for all ages and abilities.
