In Session Tours at Spring Garden Waldorf School

UPublish story by Amy Hecky

Students from Spring Garden’s Early Childhood program play outside, in an all natural environment, three times a day in rain or shine.

Copley, OH – November 15, 2012: See teachers in action at Spring Garden Waldorf School’s winter tours and learn first hand why the Waldorf private school system has caught the attention of the New York Times and National Public Radio.

Spring Garden is part of the long-standing Waldorf tradition, drawing attention for what the New York Times calls, “a teaching philosophy focused on physical activity and learning through creative, hands-on tasks.” Waldorf educators strive to implement the right thing at the right time and follow a multi-disciplinary approach to teaching, which is supported by modern-day scientific research about successful learning.

Nothing shows the power of this type of education like seeing it in action. Our Walk Through the Grades events provide parents a unique opportunity to see how our teachers employ this innovative, Finnish-style approach education, which gives children the opportunity to learn through a wide variety of experiences, increasing depth of understanding as well as intersecting with individual learning styles.

Winter tour dates:

 January 13, 2013 – Open House; 1 p.m.-3 p.m.

 January 16, 2013 – Walk through the Grades; 9 a.m.

 February 13, 2013 -- Walk through the Grades; 9 a.m.

 March, 13, 2013 -- Walk through the Grades; 9 a.m.
