St. Sebastian team wins first place at regional Power of the Pen Competition

Congratulations to the St. Sebastian Parish School 7th Grade Power of the Pen writing team for winning first place at the regional tournament at Kent State University. Seventh grade team members included Stephanie Altier, Josh Johnson, Brianna McCarron, Erynn Ouellette, Tessa Skovira and Zoe Zelch.

Individual awards were also won by 8th grade student Claire Heinle, a 2nd place award and 8th grade student Danielle Kastor, a 9th place award. Many of these students are now preparing for the state tournament at the College of Wooster in late May. The team is coached by Mrs. Maggie Blischak and Junior High Language Arts Teacher Miss Sally Weakland. Congratulations to all team members for representing St. Sebastian Parish School so well and good luck at states!
