Online and mail-in registration is open for the first Viking Victory Run. This community 5K race and 1-mile Kids Fun Run will be held at North Canton Memorial Stadium (and surrounding neighborhoods) on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Proceeds from the Run benefit the North Canton Elementary School PTO and PTA groups.
The 5K race is part of the Subway Challenge Series, and is open to runners of all ages. The race will start in front of North Canton Hoover High School, wind through the neighborhood, and has an exciting finish in front of the home stands on the track at North Canton Memorial Stadium. Trophies will be awarded for the top 3 finishers in 28 different classifications. All runners who register before April 6, 2012 will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
The Kids Fun Run is a 1-mile fun event, for kids ages 1 to 12. The race will start in front of Hoover High School, run on the access road around the school, and finish on the track at North Canton Memorial Stadium. All kids running in the event will receive a commemorative t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and raffle tickets for prizes to be given away at the end of the fun run.
To register for the race, go to www.vikingvictoryrun.com. You can register and pay online, or you can print the registration form and mail it. Registration for the 5K race is $20, and registration for the Kids Fun Run is $10.
