Auditor Mike Kovack helped honor Cleveland Indians' great Bob Feller's legacy at Progressive Field over 4th of July weekend. Kovack took part in the initial Bob Feller Act of Valor Award ceremony. Feller, a Major League Baseball Hall of Famer, enlisted in the Navy two days after Pearl Harbor. He then spent four years of his prime baseball years serving on the USS Alabama serving in the Pacific and Northern Atlantic during WWII. Bob Feller rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer and is the only Navy Chief Petty Officer in baseball's Hall of Fame.
