A View From My Seat Is Looking For Zips Fans.

UPublish story by Frank Panko

A shot of Canal Park from an Akron Aeros fan last season.

We need your help Zips fans. We only have one photo from James A. Rhodes Arena and only a few from Canal Park for the upcoming Aeros season. You can help other fans see what the floor looks like from the seats before buying tickets or just help them get excited for the game.

You can use A View From My Seat’s website, Android or iPhone app to upload photos. The big plan is to try to get a photo from every seat at every venue so fans of all sports and concert goers can help each other when figuring out where to sit or when you want to know what the view is.

So, to help in this endeavor A View From My Seat, a location based photo sharing app geared towards the sports fan and their experiences during the game, released the iPhone version of their app, in beta, at Christmas.

Currently A View From My Seat members can:

- Share photos

- Connect their Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr profiles

- Earn trophies

- Plot their road trips

- Comment on other’s photos

The new A View From My Seat features coming out in a couple of months will be:

- Friends; Ways for fans to have, invite, and check out photos from their friends.

- Fan Perks; A way for influential fans to receive promotions and benefits from their favorite teams.

Every photo is checked in near real-time to help ensure that inappropriate images don't make their way in, keeping the apps and site family friendly. Because users add information like venue name, section, row, seat, home & away team, comments and a rating for each photo, the archive is very useful in helping other fans avoid bad seats or find hidden treasures. All the photos combine to make an accurate and extensive resource to use during the ticket purchasing process and for seeing what the field looks like before heading to the game.
