House fire


 


HUDSON: A fire inside a Hudson home caused about $250,000 in damage, authorities said.


The Ellis family was home when the fire inside their Division Street residence began at about 3:30 p.m. Monday. All four escaped unharmed.


Two family cats died in the fire, one is missing and a fourth survived.


Fire officials say the blaze started in the basement and was brought under control in about 16 minutes. A cause is being investigated.


Damage was estimated at about $250,000.
