GREEN – A new street lighting district has been approved by City Council.

Members gave approval for the lighting district encompassing the 31-lot Phase III of Stoney Creek Estates off Greensburg Road during their council meeting Tuesday night.

The district is to be maintained by the property owners.

Council also approved a resolution confirming the final plat of Diamond Shores Allotment 2 as a fee-simple arrangement.

With little discussion, the Ohio Department of Transportation was given approval to mow along interstate 77 within Green’s city limits during fiscal 2013 as well as to do spot paving in that same locale during fiscal 2014 at no cost to the city.

Council also announced that it has scheduled a public hearing just after 7 p.m. April 23 on an ordinance to change zoning on 2.48 acres of land at 1860 and 1870 Graybill Road from R-1 single family residential to B-1 general business.
