The Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs program received several donations at Tuesday night's board of trustee meeting. The program is entering its 13th year and is the longest running program of its kind in the state of Ohio. The program was started by Officer Steve Cindea who partnered with several community businesses and organizations in order to make the program a huge success.
Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs is opened to seventh and eighth graders and teaches angling skills for the beginner or advanced angler, aquatic and biology lessons. The program is run through the Jackson Police Department.
The following donations were accepted:
