The Wadsworth Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary will host two activities this week.



On Wednesday, a workshop titled "You Say Potato, I Say Potato" will be held at the Salvation Army, 527 College Street.



Sheila Klimas of the Ohio State University Extension will present a workshop on cooking with potatoes.



The workshop will be from 6:30-8 p.m. and childcare and activities for the children will be provided.

On Saturday, the Sixth Annual Swing Into Spring silent auction and style show will be at the Galaxy, 201 Park Centre Drive.



This fundraiser will benefit the children's programs and services offered by the Salvation Army.



The doors will open at 9:30 a.m. with a luncheon at 11 a.m. The style show will follow.

In addition to the workshop on potatoes and the style show, the Salvation Army will host four different workshops on Wednesdays in March.



Wadsworth Municipal Court Judge Stephen McIlvaine will present a workshop titled “Crime Trends in Wadsworth and What That Means to Parents”.



Dr. Michael Boyer will present another workshop titled "Common Sports Injuries and Prevention Suggestions."



A third workshop titled "Foster Parenting, Step-Parenting, Grandparents Raising Children-Working With the System" will be presented by Louise Brown, Administrator, Social Services for Medina County Job and Family.



A "Moms' Makeover" workshop will concentrate on hair, make-up, nails and more. Childcare will not be provided for this workshop.
