The annual Akron ADDY Awards took place Friday at the Akron Civic Theatre, honoring the best of local advertising work.

The Akron Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF-Akron) sponsored the event, which is the first of three steps in a national competition organized by the federation.

Of the 317 entries submitted for this year’s event, a total of 90 professional awards were distributed to agencies, corporations, organizations and individuals, which includes the Best of Show and three Judge’s Choice Awards.

There were also 51 student entries and 17 student ADDYs distributed during the awards ceremony.

Todd Biss Productions took home the Best of Show award, along with two Gold ADDYs and three Silver ADDYs.

427 Design, Black Walnut Letterpress and Pritt Entertainment Group were each the recipient of a Judge’s Choice Award, along with multiple other Gold and Silver ADDYs.
